Ken farmed with his brother and mother from the early ‘60s until he purchased land in the Vandura area. Ken and Denise were married on June 2, 1973. Joining their union were her children, Greg and Yvonne, and in July of 1978, their son Chris was born and this completed their family.
Ken was an active member of his community and church his entire life. He enjoyed outdoor sports, hunting and gun clubs, and watching his kids and grandkids participating in various sporting events.
Some of Ken’s proudest moments were time spent with family, working the land or with his livestock and many other jobs outside the farm to support their operations. He also competed in the Esso King Farmer competition, winning the award two years in a row, which had never been accomplished before that time.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Denise; son Greg (Teresa); daughter Yvonne (Brian); son Chris (June), as well as six grandchildren: Michael (Stephanie), Brett (Corie), Shannon (Scott), Courtney, Blake (Kyra) and Landon; five great-grandchildren: Wesley, Violet, Cohen, Amaya and Vivienne. He is also survived by his siblings: Bette Klein, Bob Dash, Glenda Reynolds, Lanna Leech, and Margaret West as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother Randy and his wife Margaret Dash and brothers-in-law: Stanley Klein, Glen Leech and Tom West.
