He was born in Broadview and raised in a humble farmhouse in Flinton, Saskatchewan to Maisie and
William Rolufs, the proud parents of a large and loving family.
Lloyd shared a special bond with his siblings Jeanette and Betty. His involvement with his family and friends were the foundation of his remarkable life.
On September 7th, 1968, Lloyd married Marsha. Together they shared a partnership filled with love, laughter and adventures.
Lloyd was the proud Father, Grandfather and Papa to:
Kim - Kayla (Giovanni) Brooks and Harper
Ray - Ashley, Austin (Brianna), Jocelyn (Clark) - Cooper, Tanisha, Tyson and Talia
Tanya (Jeff) - Blake (Kyla) Emerson, Reagan (Mathew) and Abby
He was hardworking, fun loving and willing to give the shirt of his back for anyone in need. He always greeted everyone with a big smile on his face, and was genuinely glad to see them! Lloyd had many jobs throughout his life, but working on the farm and running the Esso and carwash fulfilled him.
Lloyd enjoyed spending many winters down in Yuma, having happy hours with friends and spending time on the golf course. He was always up for a game of cards and loved telling stories. He lit up any room that he was in and there was never a dull time spent with him.
Lloyd is leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength and love. His family and friends will remember his contagious grin, his strength of character and the love for those he cared for. As we bid farewell to Lloyd, we celebrate a life well lived. He will be deeply missed by family and the many friends whose lives he touched.
The funeral service to honour his memory was held in Kipling Community Centre, Kipling, Saskatchewan on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with Michelle Moore officiating. The interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Kipling & District Health Foundation, Box 989 Kipling, SK S0G 2S0 or Kingswood Golf Course, Box 299 Kipling, SK S0G 2S0.
Rest in peace, Lloyd. Your love, smile, wave and gentle spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
