Louis (Louie) Leon Joseph Gile Istace

1932 - 2013

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, dad and papa on March 6, 2013. Louie was born December 22, 1932. In 1959, he married Margaret Hayes and together they raised four daughters. Louie was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Denise; brother Lucien and sister Lillian. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Margie; daughters: Colleen (David) Morson, Sharon (Leigh) Potter, Joan (Dewayne) Geiger and Susan (Ed) Bourhis; his grandchildren: Tyson (Terri), Ashley, Josh (Chelsee) Morson, Riley Potter, Orie Potter, Morgan (Darryl) Sutherland, Clayton (Amy) Geiger, Spencer, Logan (Frankie) and Austin Bourhis; his great-grandchildren; Syah, Chandler and London Sutherland, Keegan Morson, Lachlyn Bourhis and Kip Lewis Geiger. Louie is also survived by his sisters: Irene Muir, Watrous; Emily (Bill) Lawrence, Creston, BC; Helen (Don) Gurski, Moosomin; brother-in-law Stewy Lawrence, Kenosee Lake; sister-in-law Christine Istace, Whitebear, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Louie was always there for his family and friends, always willing to help anyone in need. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Kennedy, SK on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev. Hector Seville. Cremation with interment at a later date. Prayers will be held at St. Ann's Church, Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre Patient Lodge, 4104 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK. S4T1A3.
