My deepest condolences to the the Leggett and Doka families. While I've been gone from the community for many years, I like many others remember Marilyn's kindness and always being greeted with a warm and friendly smile when visiting the store. I appreciated how genuine and caring she was with everyone. There are no words that can help alleviate the pain of such a loss but I hope that knowing how much she was admired and respected helps to give some comfort. She will be deeply missed.

It was 1967 when Helen and I with our sons became  part of the very inviting and dynamic community of Kipling.    Soon I was to meet my students and discovered that they were something special.  Never had I seen so many vibrant personalities and Marilyn was one of these, that so easily communicated an instant warmth and friendship.   Marilyn brightened the lives of our sons and others,  simply with her beautiful personality.  We remember Marilyn with immense fondness as we extend our heartfelt sympathy to you and your family.  Len-Helen Miller.

We are so sad to hear of Marilyn’s passing. She was a special lady that made everyone around her feel special. I can still remember the first time I met her in the summer of 1987, I just moved to Kipling to start my career and stopped in the grocery store for a few items. That is when I first met Marilyn, she didn’t know me at the time, but she took time to visit with me and really make me feel welcomed. From that day I always felt Marilyn was a great person, with a friendly personality and a huge heart. Our deepest condolences to Len, Kai, Brad and their families.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Marilyn’s passing. She and I first met 59 years ago when we stood as bridesmaids for Raymond and Delores, and from that special day forward, we shared a beautiful friendship that spanned decades.
Marilyn had a way of making everyone feel welcome. She was so personable and generous —always introducing new friends into our circle and warmly welcoming newcomers to Kipling. Her kindness and ability to bring people together created a strong sense of community among us all.

We shared so many wonderful memories with many get togethers at our house , their house, often between both fog Christmas and New years , the lake , Hunter parties and a few trips. 

Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Marilyn will be deeply missed, but her warmth, friendship, and legacy will live on in all of us who knew and loved her.

I am terribly saddened to hear of Marilyn’s passing. She held a special place in our lives—Raymond and I always felt she was more than a niece; she was like a sister and a dear friend. That’s why we were so proud to have her stand with us in our wedding.
There are so many memories to draw upon and all of them include fun and laughter, The laughter we shared at family gatherings, the fun we had on that unforgettable trip to Vegas with Len and Marilyn, and the many moments that brought comfort, joy, and connection. Marilyn had such a sharp sense of humor,  a warm presence and—there was always joy and comfort when she was around.
 Sheila still remembers being  the flower girl in Marilyn and Len’s wedding and Raelynne holds fondly the trip she took with Marilyn to the coast to pay respects to Uncle Cal. Those times meant a great deal to them and are lasting memories of Marilyn's kindness and connection. 
After Raymond passed, the distance that grew between our families was deeply felt. But it doesn’t take away from the years of friendship, support, and connection we once had with Marilyn, Kelly, and Clifford. That chapter of our lives mattered—and I carry those memories with warmth and appreciation.
May the good memories bring you strength and comfort during such a difficult time.

She had a tough battle in these last few years for sure and I wish her retirement years could have been easier, she and Len deserved so much better.  She was front and center in our community and was always supportive in our lives growing up. She always showed up for us, whether it was bridal showers, events, get togethers at the lake, mom and dads or the hunter parties , she was there.  I always loved to watch Len and Marilyn  dance together, they were so in tune with each other, it was truely beautiful to watch especially as a child. My love for ABBA started and continues to this day because of them. 
It breaks my heart not to be able to be there for Marilyn and celebrate her life but I hope the family knows she meant so much to so many of us. ❣️
