

Throughout her life, Millie lived in many parts of Canada, experiencing this country from coast to coast. She also lived in N. Ireland for a couple of years.
Millie loved her family and took great pride in their achievements. She took pleasure in keeping her home clean and comfortable and enjoyed decorating it for every holiday, especially if family and grandchildren were coming to help celebrate.
Millie enjoyed birds, particularly Martins and Orioles and all her beautiful flowers which she tended to with love while living independently on her own until the age of 95.
Millie was predeceased by Morris Shewchuk, her partner of 36 years; her first husband Ted Chambers; brother Ray Vaillancourt and sisters Delia Miller and Marlene Gagnon.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Sherry Krieser (Lindsay); son Wayne Houle (Theresa); daughters Sonya Von Kaufman (Peter) and Debbie Shewchuk-Jones (Mike); grandchildren: Adam (Kat), Andrew (Shannon), Austin, Kyle, Shelley, Duane (Kelly), Lonny, Krista and Scott (Adrienne); great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Anna, Aaden, Kyle (Ashley), Dion (Carolyn), Justin (Sara), Owen, Ryan (Rachel), Alysha (Tom), Ashley, Jacob, Robbie (Jamie), Keegan, Cassie, Reeve and Belle and sisters Myrna Raymond and Jenny Krieser.
A graveside service took place on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in the Windthorst Cemetery with Monica Dayman officiating. A time of fellowship and lunch took place after the service in the Windthorst Friendship Centre.
