Rita Marie Schroeder

She was predeceased by the love of her life Chris; parents Michael and Agnes Kapell; her brothers: Francis (Betty & Mathilda), Al, Kevin and Merk as well as by all of her in-laws from the Schroeder family.

Rita is survived by her sisters-in-law: Kathy Kapell, Marlyne Kapell and Dolores Kapell. She is lovingly remembered by a great number of nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Rita is also remembered as a kind friend, good neighbor and helpful community member.

A public visitation was held in St. Pius R.C. Church, Windthorst, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. The funeral mass was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Felipe Faustino. Interment followed in St. Pius Parish Cemetery.

For a Special Aunt

I have memories that make me smile,

of a young child who longed to be……

by the side of an aunt who was so adored,

the child that I speak of was me.

You were the aunt filled with laughter and love,

who had such a wonderful way,

and time spent with you was heaven on earth,

each day was a magical day!

I can recall all the things you did,

and the gentleness of your touch.

You had a talent for letting me know,

that you loved me…… ever so much!

And the impact you had upon my life,

continues to this day still.

I loved you then, I love you now,

and always, yes always…. I will!
