Ada V. Cotto, age 74, of Kissimmee, Florida passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 in Poinciana, Florida. She was born on January 29, 1947 in Cayey, Puerto Rico to the late Luis A. Lopez and Rosa Gonzalez.
Ada spent her life as a military spouse, being able to travel all around and have new experiences with her family. She worked as an assistant chef for the children's military mess hall and always enjoyed taking care of others. After her husband retired from the military in 1989 the family settled in Kissimmee, Florida. Once settled Ada again began cooking and baking, both for Disney and at home for her family. She had a passion and talent that she enjoyed sharing with others.
Ada was predeceased by her husband of over 40 years Jose R. Cotto-Colon, her sister Ursula Morales and her brother Luiz Lopez. She is survived by her son Jose R. Cotto Jr, daughters Alvia R. Cotto and Brenda I. Flores-Cotto (Julio) and her grandchildren Edwina, Mariah (Dominic), Junien, Joseph, Josiah and Joshua along with her great-grandchildren Jayden, Delilah and Skye. Ada also leaves behind her sister Maria Lopez and a multitude of extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
A visitation for Ada will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at VIVA Church, 653 E. Wetherbee Rd, Orlando, FL 32824. A funeral service will begin at 3:00pm immediately following the visitation. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
