I am so sorry... but I heard the news about Ms. Audrey yesterday... with great sadness I received this news.  Ms. Audrey always was worried about my health and that I have the energy bars that she prepared, and never gave me the recipe.  Her cookies were epic and her spirit amazing.  She was in charge of the flowers at her parish and always was ready to lend a hand... I wrote to her but never got an answer and thought that the letter was lost or that she moved.  I will miss her and offer a mass for her.

We’ve known Audrey since 2007 when we registered to be parishioners  at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church.  Audrey was always  kind to us  & made us feel  spiritually at home at St. Rose,  We still kept in touch with each other even  after  we transferred to another church  by exchanging cards or phone calls. Her last act of kindness to us was to make sure that we receive our Magnificats  thru Shelley, when she got sick. 

Thank you , Audrey. We will miss  you.

I was deeply saddened to hear about your loss. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I didn't know Audrey; however, because I know her daughter Barb, I can only imagine the many lives she touched and her caring impact on so many people.  Barb embodies her mother's servant heart  by continuing to live her legacy of selfless love, compassion, kindness, and living a purpose-driven life.

Although we were Solivita residents, our first interaction with Audrey was at Saint Rose of Lima.  Saint Rose was her second home and she devoted thousands of hours to the health of the parish.  At some point in time, she was a part of every ministry I could name. She was also so very active in many organizations in Solivita.  CERT needed a scribe during a drill? Call Audrey.  Veteran’s Club needed help during a public event?  Call Audrey.  Tickets to the Starlighters?  Audrey would sell you a bunch. Someone called her the energizer bunny and that is how we always thought of her.  Serious illness, the death of her beloved Tom – things may have slowed her down but nothing stopped her.  In spite of all this, the thing we will remember most is her unstoppable, exuberant sense of joy.  She radiated joy in almost everything she did.  As the years slowed her down, she still faced each day with that sense that our Lord needed her to serve him somehow on that day.  Audrey, your service here is done and your eternal rest is at hand.  We still believe that, even in rest, she is looking to God to just “give her something to do” to help the angels and saints out in some way.  Rest in Peace, good friend and faithful servant.

I am sorry for your loss. Audrey did so much good while she was on earth so she deserves a special place in heaven.

Audrey was a extraordinary person - I only knew for a couple of years but was amazed at her dynamic energy - She was so active - I had the privilege of knowing her as a Eucharistic Minister in St Rose of Lima , in the VCSA  Auxiliary of Solivita, in Catholic Families of Solivita - She had an active part in All Three of them !  - She will be sorely missed. I was one of her 9 grandchildren. And had the privelage of growing up with her in my life. From the moment I was born she was very involved. Despite her and my grandpa living out of state, they came for birthdays and Christmas’s making my brother and I feel so loved. We also spent much of our childhood having family reunions in Wisconsin at their tree farm. My grandparents would plan activities for all the grandkids to do and make it a memorable week. As all of us got older the family reunions became fewer, and my grandparents moved to Florida. But we would visit them, and they would come to Colorado to visit us. After my grandpa passed when I was in high school, I made it a point to make sure my grandma never felt lonely. I would call her regularly and write her cards. She came to my brother and I’s high school and college graduations. I felt so lucky and proud to have her there. And I had to chance to visit with her several times in the last few years. My grandma was one of my most favorite people. She would always ask if there was anything I needed and always offer up her home for me to come a visit and stay. I am so grateful to have been a part of her life for 30 years and graced by her immeasurable love. Fly high grandma!

Audrey was always involved in our community and church. She touched the hearts of many people and I'm sure she was welcomed by God with open arms. We will all miss her smile and endless energy to help others!

She was always present at Mass and I remember fondly always fixing my daughter’s dress when we were about to read in church. Now, she is present with the Lord!

Audry was the Grande Dame of Solivita, especially the Veterans Club.  She was a HUGE behind the scenes contributor to virtually all events.  Audry will be sorely missed.  God speed and rest in peace.
