David Herbert Steele, 66, of Kissimmee, Florida, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015, at Florida Hospital in Kissimmee. He was born June 9, 1948, and resided in New Jersey until 2013, when he moved to Florida.
He received his education in the Trenton, New Jersey school system, and later he received a Bachelor’s degree from Trenton State Teachers College.
He worked for the State of New Jersey, Department of Labor, for over 30 years, until his retirement from a Manager’s position.
He made the most important decision in his life when he dedicated his life to Jehovah God and was baptized in 1990 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He cherished his privileges of service, teaching others about the Bible while serving as a faithful elder, until his demise.
One of David’s greatest attributes was the loving care and concern he demonstrated for others. Anyone who talked to David was always encouraged and uplifted. Extending hospitality and making others laugh was a natural part of his personality.
David loved his devoted wife, Evelyn, who provided excellent care for him during his illness. Happily David and Evelyn just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. David’s greatest joy was being a good provider and making her happy.
David was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Steele. He leaves to cherish his legacy and loving memories to his beloved and devoted wife, Evelyn, his mother, Thelma Steele; five sons, James, David, Kenneth (Barbara), Anthony (Dana), Eric Ellis of Irvine, CA; one daughter, Ke’cia Ellis Sanders (Leo); one brother, Harlem Steele (Cindy); five sisters, Peggy Parks, Diane Lee, Renee Steele, Regina Wilson, Carrie Steele-Fennell (Roger); one loving aunt, Maggie Campbell. He will also be missed and cherished by his grandchildren, one he was especially fond of, Keni Steele, because she would call him often, great-grandchildren, along with other family and friends.
