
John A. D’Amico, 80 of Kissimmee, Florida passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Orlando Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 7, 1930 and was raised in Niagara Falls, New York. He lived in Toms River, New Jersey, and Virginia Beach, Virginia before coming to Kissimmee, Florida in 1978. He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict and retired from the United States Navy in 1972. Upon his retirement from Military Service, he worked for the Osceola County Florida Engineering Department.
He was predeceased by his parents Nick and Angelina D’Amico and his brother Jerry D'Amico all of Niagara Falls, New York. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Marie D’Amico of Kissimmee; sons, Ronald D’Amico, and Richard D’Amico of Kissimmee; daughter, Roslyn Koczan and son-in-law James Koczan of Deltona; grandson, Christopher Koczan of Oviedo, a brother, Archie D'Amico, Lebanon, Illinois, a sister, Rosemary Corieri, Niagara Falls, New York and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 6 to 8 P.M., Monday, December 6, 2010 at the Grissom Funeral Home, Kissimmee, Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Kissimmee, Florida. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Kissimmee, Florida with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family is respectfully requesting memorial donations be made to the Osceola County Florida Council on Aging.
