He was born March 12, 1947 in Denver, Colorado to the late Mary Vogen Burton and the late Norman Ritchey.
Bob served in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict(1965-1969) and retired as Chief of Security from Eastern Correctional Institution, Princess Anne, Maryland. He volunteered as bar manager and house committee chair at the American Legion. Bob enjoyed people watching, all sports and fishing, with his sons. He was an avid Washington, D.C. sports fan and was able to see his Nationals win the World Series. He loved to talk to people and make them laugh.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and Al Capone, his german shepherd, whom he called his third son.
He is survived by his wife Dianne M. Ritchey, sons: Robert B. Ritchey (Lindsay ), Maxwell AFB, Alabama, and William J. Ritchey (Deanna), Wetumpka, Alabama, and his most loved grandson Graham Ritchey, along with two fur babies and three grand fur babies.
Arrangements have been entrusted to “Grissom Funeral Home” in Kissimmee, Florida.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at the American Legion Post 10, 205 Lakeview Drive, Kissimmee, Florida at 1 P.M. on 30 November. Please join us and represent your favorite sports team.
