

Aileen passed away peacefully at her residence, in the early morning hours of January 7, 2013, in her 87th year. Beloved sister of Grace (Edward) Snider, James (and partner, Liz Shiell), Edward Feick, and sister-in-law of Don Snider. Aileen was predeceased by her parents, Herb and Vinetta Feick; sisters, Ruth (Snider) and Doris; as well as her brother, Morgan; and sisters-in-law, June, Onolee, and Beatrice. She was also predeceased by a niece and nephew, Barbara and Larry Feick. She is lovingly missed by three generations of nieces and nephews, their spouses and families. Aileen was born at home on December 22nd, 1926, and lived and worked in the Doon area of Kitchener her whole life. She was an avid gardener, artistic flower arranger, skillful seamstress, and competitive Scrabble player. Aileen will also be missed by the congregation at Pioneer Park Christian Fellowship Mennonite Church, where she was a lifelong member, serving in a variety of roles – as teacher, leader, and mentor. Aileen’s family will receive friends for visitation at the Pioneer Park Church, 68 Biehn Dr., Kitchener on Thursday, Jan. 10th, from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. The interment will take place on Firday January 11th at 1 p.m., in the Weber Cemetery (adjoining the church property), followed by a service celebrating Aileen’s life at 1:30 p.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mennonite Central Committee or the Pioneer Park Christian Fellowship Church.
