Passed away quietly in his sleep on Thursday July 9, 2015 at Forest Heights LTCC, at the age of 93.
Beloved husband of the late Sheila (nee MacLeod). Loving father of Carl Nelson and James Wilson (Shirley). Grandfather of Jacqueline, Wendy and Debra.
When WWII began, George enlisted with the RCAF. Following the war, he was a successful civil servant in Montreal.
Cremation has taken place. George’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday July 14, 2015 from 1-3 pm at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be arranged through the funeral home.
