Peacefully into the arms of Jesus on July 25, 2015 at her home.
Born in Kitchener-Waterloo to loving parents Beatrice (Bricknell) McLean and Joseph McLean. Gladys was the last of her siblings to pass into eternity.
She was predeceased by her only son on Dec. 25, 1958, her first husband Manford Reier in 1975 and then her second husband Edgar J. Buck in 1999. Her dear sisters Anna Stroh and Bette Hoffman, and beloved brother Don of B.C. and dear friend Carolyn (Stuebing) Elsner and step-son John Robert Buck.
Gladys worked as a loans officer at the Royal Bank of Canada for 15 years. Her family was her life; she enjoyed travelling in her later years with Edgar and Anna and was a gifted china painter. She worshipped at New Dundee Baptist Church whom we thank for their many prayers and visits along with others who regularly called and prayed and visited Gladys weekly.
She leaves to mourn step-daughter-in-law Judy Buck of Kitchener and sister-in-law Mauvis of B.C. Along with cousins, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who remember her fondly.
Special thanks to Gladys’ team of ladies who cared for her in her home these last 26 months, she loved each one of you.
At Gladys’ request, a private family interment service will be held at Memory Gardens on August 6, 2015 at 2 pm with a luncheon to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Kitchener would be appreciated.
