Jessie Pratt

Peacefully on March 9, 2012 at the age of 87, surrounded by her family at Grand River Hospital, mom joined our dad Don (2000) and her granddaughter Katrina (1995). Beloved mother of Jo-Anne Broersen (Hans), Gary Pratt (Sheri), Janice Hartwig (Brian), Jacqueline Mattice (Randy), Jennifer Tummillo (Rick), Judith Kirby (Paul) and Jeanne Knight (Anthony). Loving grandmother of Jordan (Mike), Julane (Karl), Katelyn, Kristen, Juliana, Owen and Aly. Mom was anticipating the arrival of her first great-granddaughter this spring. Survived by her brother Andrew Maxwell Beaton (Elizabeth) and by her sister Anne English. Predeceased by her brothers John Beaton, James Beaton, Frances Beaton, sister Mary Beaton and brother-in-law Norm English. Jessie will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Jessie was a long time member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and spent many hours knitting prayer shawls and bonnets and booties for newborns.

Visitation will be held at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton St., on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers at 8:45 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 49 Blueridge Ave., Kitchener on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
