Joseph Kern

Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on March 29, 2011 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Rose (nee Hollohan). Dear father of Robbie & wife Beckie and grandfather of Drew and Abby. Dear brother of Alexa Kern & wife Alena (Prague, Czech Rebulic). Also survived by brothers-in law, sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Joe’s Life will be held at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton St. (742-4481) on Friday, April 1, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. with the sharing of remembrances beginning at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank the staff at Grand River Hospital 6th floor Oncology for all of their hard work and efforts in keeping Joe comfortable.
