Mary Albina Haken

Passed away peacefully at the age of 100 at Columbia Forest on Saturday ,September 22, 2012. Born in New Hamburg, daughter of the late Ignatius and Antonia (Zarowoski) Doskocz. The eldest of 12 children. Beloved wife of Charles Yendruck whom she married at Sacred Heart Church, November 9, 1929 and who predeceased her on November 19, 1932. Loving mother of Edward (June) and Stella (Leo Forwell). Lifelong companion of Paul Haken whom she married later in life and predeceased her in January 1987. Grandmother to Brad (Kim) Forwell, Brian Forwell, Paul (Peggy) Yendruck, Michael (Leanne) Yendruck and Robert Yendruck. Great grandmother to Morgan Forwell and Alex Yendruck. Survived by sisters Rose (Nile) Israel and Nellie (Gerald) Brohman. Predeceased by brothers John, Andrew, Peter, Michael, Paul, Joseph and William and sisters Ann (Lubitz) and Stella Renusz. Survived by sister-in-laws Sophia, Clara, Loretta, Theresa (Swartzenberg). Predeceased by sister-in-laws Irene and Mary and brothers-in-law Arthur Lubitz, Frank Renusz and Walter Waurechen. Friends may visit the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W, Kitchener on Tuesday, September 25 from 6-9 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 148 Madison Avenue S. on Wednesday, September 26 at 10 am with burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
