Murray "Moe" Wilfred Wiese

WIESE, Murray “Moe” – Passed away suddenly, surrounded by the love of his family at the Grand River Hospital on Sunday, October 4, 2009 in his 70th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Brenda Wiese (nee Berwick) for 30 years. Loving and devoted Dad of Tricia Shaw (Jordan), Christine Davis and Travis Wiese (Candice Chessell). Proud Papa of Tyler Shaw (Calli), Jake Shaw, Caleb Davis and Kelsey-Anne Davis. Dear brother of Glenwood Wiese (Barb) and Lynn Gervais (the late Gill Gervais). Murray is the loved son-in-law of John and Jackie Berwick and brother-in-law of Lynn Tucker (Larry Ziegler) and Wayne Berwick (Ellen). Murray will be forever remembered by his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. “Chimo” to his many, many cousins, who were so very important to him. He is predeceased by his parents, Emil (“Sam”) and Loretta WieseMurray was extremely proud to have served 32 years with the Kitchener Fire Department, retiring as Captain in 1999. He was a familiar face as an enthusiastic volunteer over 25 years with Meals on Wheels and he made countless friends over the years as he enjoyed numerous sports. Never one to sit back, Murray worked in his retirement as a shuttle driver for Forbes Motors.Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm and Thursday from 11 am until 12:30pm. Vigil prayers will be recited at the funeral home Wednesday at 8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon at 1 pm at Blessed Sacrament RC Church, Laurentian Dr., Kitchener.
