Richard Tews

Safely in the arms of Jesus, Richard passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 12, 2015 at the age of 95.

Son of the late Johann and Matilda (nee Janke). Devoted husband of Ellie (nee Penner) for 59 years. Loving father of Ingrid Hoel-Westenhoefer (Dan) and Wanda (Ken) Hawthorne. Opa of Ryan (Becky), Nathan (Sharlah), Richard, Cheryl (Charles), Andrew and Great-Opa of Zechariah, Hannah, Caleb, Levi, Alex and Ariana.

Predeceased by son-in-law David Hoel.

Richard was an active and longtime member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church.

Richard’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday August 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King Street West, Kitchener.
