Shirley Elizabeth Longmire

LONGMIRE, Shirley Elizabeth – Passed away suddenly, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital at the young age of 63 years. Beloved wife, soulmate and best friend of Kirk Longmire for 33 years. Cherished daughter of Vivian and the late Bill Morris Sr. Devoted mother of Terry (Cathy), Ted (Tracy), Lanny, Lisa (Norm) and Melanie (Jake). Proud grandmother of Katie, Samantha, Nicole, Jordan, Jacob, Abigail, Connor, Tasha, Allissa, Carrie, Megan, Madison and Jesse. Dear sister of Bill (Janice), Margaret (Rick), Diana, Patricia (Gord), Bob (Lorraine), Mary Lynn, Nancy (Jeff). Shirley joins in heaven her daughter, Carrie Lee, who predeceased her in infancy. Shirley was a smiling face for her neighbours, a talented knitter and crocheter and a devoted “mother” to her birds . She will be sadly missed and forever remembered by all those whose lives she touched.

Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West, Kitchener on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service celebrating Shirley’s life will take place on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock in the funeral home chapel. A reception will follow at the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre.
