Mrs. Thelma Irene Reid O'Brien

O’BRIEN, Mrs. Thelma Irene (nee Reid); passed away at the Victoria Manor in Lindsay, Ontario on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the age of 85. Mrs. O’Brien was born in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by her husband James Henry O’Brien, her parents Albert Reid and Dora Reid (nee Strickland), her sisters Melinda Groves and Jean Schmidt. Surviving are her sister Shirley (Robert) Rosekat, her six children - Donna (Glenn) Mathewson, Cheryl-Ann, James (Linda), Penny (Gary) Ternent, Heather (Rob) Johnson and Timothy (Shelley), along with 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Friends may call at the RATZ-BECHTEL FUNERAL HOME, 621 King Street West, Kitchener (519-745-9495) on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 7-9pm. The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 2pm at the funeral home with Reverend Katherine Altenburg from St. Matthews Lutheran Church officiating. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
