William Bill Charles Spaetzel

SPAETZEL, William (Bill) Charles – A resident of Kitchener, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2012 at Trinity Village Care Centre at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of Fay (2009) for 60 years. Beloved father of Susan Spaetzel, John Spaetzel (Carolyn), David Spaetzel (Monika) and Nancy Maloney (the late Mike). Loving grandfather to Lori, Steven, Rebecca, Benjamin, William, James, Valerie and Dan. Great grandfather to Paige, Charlotte, Fielding and Turner.

Bill was the owner of Bill’s Auto Trim, and Spaetzel Car and Home Upholstery in Kitchener. Bill was a member of the Heritage Greens Lawn Bowling Club and formerly of the Conestoga Lake Sailing Club. Many thanks to the supportive and caring staff at Trinity Village.

Bill’s family will receive friends on Saturday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West. Funeral service will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2pm at the funeral home, with a reception to follow at the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. Interment will take place at Bridgeport Cemetery on Monday morning at 10 o’clock, when friends will gather at the graveside for a short committal service. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Society and can be arranged by contacting the funeral home.
