

Alec was a creative and free-spirited soul who found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. He had a deep love for art, especially drawing, where he expressed his unique perspective and imagination. Alec also cherished time spent outdoors, often hiking in the mountains and enjoying the peace and beauty of nature. An avid skateboarder, he embraced life with energy and individuality.
Alec proudly served his country in the United States Army and held a special pride in being part of the 82nd Airborne. His service reflected his strength, courage, and dedication; qualities that carried through every aspect of his life.
Music was a central part of Alec’s life. He loved all genres and, in his younger years, shared his passion by singing in a band with his childhood friends, creating memories and bonds that lasted a lifetime.
Alec was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lonas and Janice Childress and Ivan Pate; and his stepfather, John Webb.
He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Rodney Childress and Kelly Pate; brother, Aren Childress; children: Kenlee Childress, Caleb and Caden Childress, Manny Raygoza, and Bella Schmelter; grandmother, Linda Pate; half-sister, Brooke Childress; nieces, Caroline and Evianna Childress; and his best friends, Sam Hinkle, Sean Ridge, Tommy Young, Alan Finger, Jonas Loveday, Zach Peavey and Stevie Bright. Alec also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory and the love he shared.
Alec’s spirit, creativity, and love for those around him will never be forgotten.
