Bettye S. Hartman Caruthers

Caruthers, Bettye S. Hartman - age 81, of Oak Ridge, passed away June 25, 2013. Preceded in death by husband, Jesse G. Caruthers, grandparents, Homer R. and Sallie M. Koon, parents, Rex and Sallie Koon Hartman, brothers, Ronald J. Hartman of Florida, Jack Hartman of Oak Ridge, and Edward L. Hartman of Kingsport, and sister, Lois Elaine Selvidge, of Lenoir City. Survivors include daughters’ Karen Sue Caruthers and Lisa Ellen Overton and son-in-law Ricky Ellis Overton. Grandchildren, Robert Ellis, Joshua Lee and Rachael Leigh-Ann Overton and son, Jesse G Caruthers, Jr. and wife Nell of Florida. Brother, M. Boyd and wife Ann of Karns. Sisters Mary Jane, Rebecca, and Julia of Knoxville and Sharon of Lenoir City. The family will receive friends at Faith Lutheran Church of Oak Ridge on Friday, June 28 from 5 to 7PM. Memorial service will follow the visitation with Rev William Wagner officiating. In lieu of flowers, make memorial contributions to Faith Lutheran Church or Saint Jude Children’s Hospital.
