Billie Lou Spires, 91 of Knoxville Tennessee passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, after a courageous battle with dementia. She was known for her kindness and dimpled sweet smile. She never had a harsh word to say to, or about anyone. Billie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her three children, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was an artist, a seamstress, a cook and could bake and decorate incredible cakes. Her greatest joy was children. She was known for having “the best lap to sit in” by all the children she kept. Billie had a strong faith and attended many churches throughout her years. Her last few years she attended Lake Forest Presbyterian, where she enjoyed helping with VBS. She was preceded in death by her one and only love, Jack Spires. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lake Forest Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends Monday, November 3, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920, with a funeral service to follow.
