Jeff and I are so very sorry for the loss of Bill!  We have many fond memories of him and your family.  Jeff said he was not only his boss at the City of Knoxville, but a true friend.  He has lots of fishing stories of he and Bill.  And I remember a camping trip we all took together at a very remote area on the lake.  It was definitely out of my comfort zone. Tiffany and family.  I am so terribly sorry for your loss.  Billy touched so many lives and the world was a better place because he was in it.  I want to offer my condolences  and prayers.

Bill was an awesome guy! I met him years ago playing tennis! Then I found out we had mutual friends! I will never forget he went out of his way to help me install a water line at my first house. RIP.

It was a privilege to know Bill and serve with him.  We met when I was a brand new lieutenant assigned as a battalion S6- way out of my league.   Bill was an excellent mentor! He respected the position I had been given.  I learned a lot- maybe more in our time together than all my other years combined in the military.   He was kind, funny, honest and knew how to get things done.  Will treasure the memories from our AT in Egypt and how Tim and I still use the "Bill Bright Method" for taking photos even today. He was a servant to Veterans which is to be admired.  To his family, I hope the memories will get you through this difficult time.  He was a great Soldier and even better man. See you on the high side, Bill.

Bill and I grew up together, graduated from South High together in the class of 1966 and served in Vietnam at the same time and the same base yet we did not know it until many years later. We both were unfortunately totally disabled from that service and had many conversations about those issues. You left us way too soon my friend and will be missed.

Billy and I shared many hours of experimenting with Army Radios trying to perfect the 844th Engineer Battalion’s communication with its subordinate units when separated by hundreds of miles. We didn’t reach perfect, but we made some progress with the help of the other members of our Commo group. We had some fun in the mud in Panama, too. I’m saddened to lose a friend whom I cared for and respected highly.  The family can rest assured that there are hundreds of us who share your grief and willing to assist you if needed. Our deepest sympathy for the Bright family. Bill was indeed one of the kindest and most welcoming people I've ever known.  He and his wife Tiffany alway made you feel welcome and at home in so many ways.  He will be truly missed.

So sorry for your loss, I have such great childhood memories with Billy, Bobby, Aunt Annie, & Uncle Bill.  We rarely saw each other as adults but we spent many happy hours together as children.
