

BOBBY GENE TERRELL, SR. “PAPPAW” age 80 of Knoxville, left his earthly home to be in his heavenly home Saturday, April 14, 2012. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a friend to all who knew him. He had a strong love of music and singing, enjoyed a competitive game of horseshoes with his friends and a game of rook with his family. He loved cruising. He was a member of Ball Road Baptist Church, an Army Veteran of the Korean War and retired from Martin Marietta after 40 years of service. Preceded in death by his twin sister, Betty; parents, James and Minnie Terrell; daughter, Margaret; great-granddaughter, Jordyn Stout. He is survived by his sweetheart of 61 years /wife of almost 59 years, Frances Terrell; children and spouses, Bobby Terrell, Jr. and wife, Zoe, Gerry and Leroy Cox, Terri and Charles Austin, Kathy and John Campbell, Karen and Freddy Miraglia, Sharon Terrell and special friend, Sheila Whitehead; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; special cousins, Carolyn and Virginia. A special thanks to the 7th floor nursing staff at Ft. Sanders, Karns Volunteer Fire Dept. and Rural Metro and a special thanks to Dr. Gregory Lemense. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday at Weaver’s Chapel with the service to follow at 8 pm. Rev. A.J. Crawford officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:15 pm Wednesday at Weaver’s to proceed to Oak Ridge Memorial Park for a 2 pm interment.
