Bobby Joe Troutman, 82, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 15, 2018. Bobby served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of New Hopewell Baptist Church. He retired from American General Life Insurance Company which was formerly National Life and Accident. Bobby was an avid fisherman and enjoyed time with his family at his lake front property on Douglas Lake. He collected Indian artifacts and had an extensive collection. He owned and operated Troutman Christmas Tree Farm for many years. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Allison Troutman and Mary Rosetta Clowers Troutman; stepfather, Joe Wrinkle; daughter, Teresa Troutman Pressly; brother, Melvin Troutman; sister, Pauline Troutman Whitfield; son-in-law, Tony Cope. He is survived by wife of 61 years, Farice Evangeline (Padgett) Troutman; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, David and Cheryl Troutman and Gary and Tammy Troutman; daughter, Carolyn Troutman Cope; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; sister, Martha Dinkens and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, with a funeral service following at 7:00pm.
