Calvin was born to the late Calvin O. Sise, Sr. and Bonnie K. Sise. A man of strong character and dedication, he proudly served his country as a United States Army Veteran. Throughout his life, Calvin was known for his hard work and commitment, spending many years as a store manager for Cas Walker and later retiring from Cherokee Distributing.
Calvin found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially taking pride in his yard work—keeping his lawn in pristine condition, often compared to a golf course. He was a man of Baptist faith and held his beliefs close to his heart.
In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by his siblings Frank Sise, Mike Sise, and Donna “Sissy” Sise; his daughter-in-law Lori Sise; his mother-in-law Tilda Allison Phillips; and his brother-in-law Jeff Allison.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Pat Sise; his children, Calvin O. Sise, III (Tanya), Kim Kistner, and Chris Sise; six grandchildren, Trevor (Olivia) Sise, Kelsey (Stephen) Cataline, Zach (Lacey) Sise, Emily Sise, Abby Sise, and Brooklyn Sise; and eight great-grandchildren, Jayden, Harper, Colton, Mileena, Jaxton, Weston, Hadlee, and Maverick. He is also survived by his brother Don “Pete” Sise; sisters-in-law Takeko Sise and Linda Sise; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Lowell and Sarah Allison; and his special friend, Freddy Kistner.
Family and friends will gather to honor Calvin’s life at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN, on April 20, 2026, with visitation from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 pm.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Highway, Knoxville, TN, on April 21, 2026, at 10:00 am.
