Charlotte Rose Maples Nelson, age 84, of Southfield, MI, formerly of Strawberry Plains, TN, went to be with the Lord Friday, September 1, 2017. She was retired from General Motors Corp. She was a loving mother and a good friend to many and an artist. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, William E. Elmore, Jr. and wife Sherry D. Elmore; sister, Dottie Griffin and husband Bobby; niece, (considered a sister) Sandie Goetz; special friend and sister-in-law, Nona Maples. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, September 7, 2017 at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm, Rev. Floyd Griffin will officiate.
