Chung Poon Wang, age 91, passed away peacefully at home on January 17, 2018. He was born in Shan-Tung, China in 1926. He moved to Hong Kong in 1956, then came to the United States 1971 and worked in San Francisco and Washington D.C., prior to moving to Oak Ridge in 1973 and settling down in Knoxville in 1976. He operated Real Peking Chinese Restaurant from 1976-2000 until retirement. Chung Poon is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Pao-Lan Wang. He is survived by his sons (spouses), Peter (Mona), Herry (Rosa) and Steve (Candice); daughter (spouse), Lily (Kam Fung); grandchildren, Angela, Jimmy (Hannah), Tiffany Fung, Andy, Fiona, and Joanna; and great-granddaughter, Olivia. Visitation will be at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37919 on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. with a 2:00 p.m. Chapel Service.
