

McMahan, Claude R. –age 87 of Knoxville, passed away at NHC Ft. Sanders on Monday, February 6, 2011. He was a deacon and member of Arrowhead Church of God of Prophecy. Claude was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory and was a former employee of Sherrod Electric. Claude was an inspiration to all who knew him and so loved by his family and friends. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Clara M. McMahan; parents, Oscar and Maude McMahan; sisters, Beulah Malone, Lillie Hayes, Jessie Burnette, Polly Hamlyn; and brothers, Clyde and Charles McMahan. He is survived by daughter, Judy and husband, Kenneth Young of Acworth, Georgia; son, David McMahan of Knoxville; granddaughters, Kristin and husband, Jerry Kight of Springhill, Tennessee, Wendy and husband, John McKinnon of Kennesaw, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Rachel and Trevor Kight, Samuel McKinnon; brother, Richard McMahan of Lenoir City; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 PM on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Arrowhead Church of God of Prophecy. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Arrowhead Church of God Of Prophecy. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
