Cora Ellen Franklin

Cora Ellen Franklin, age 80 of Seymour, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Cora was of the Baptist faith and was a loyal member of Shiloh Baptist Church of Seymour, TN. She had many loves in her life, gardening, garage selling, and thrifting were some of the things she loved, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandson Daniel. She was a fearless individual as she worked at Walmart in Sevierville, TN for more than 30 years even during Christmas season. In her later years Cora was known by everyone who knew her as "Mamaw". She will be sorely missed by all who ever had the privilege to call her friend.

Cora was met at the gates of Eternity by her husband of 40 plus years David "Pete" Richard Franklin; parents, Tom and Georgia Bales; brothers, Howard and Robert Bales; sister, Roselee Bales.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory and to celebrate her Homegoing her loving and dedicated daughter, Martha Pauline Franklin; grandson, Daniel Franklin, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Family and friends will gather on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Berry Highland South Funeral Home, 9010 E. Simpson Rd., Knoxville, TN 37920 for a visitation from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm. A committal service will be help at Berry Highland South Cemetery on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 1:00pm.
