Throughout her working career, she made significant contributions to several local businesses, including the City of Knoxville, Burgin Dodge, Reeder Chevrolet, and most recently, Stowers Machinery, where she was a dedicated and valued employee.
Debbie was an avid reader, loved listening to music, exploring yard sales, spending time in the Smokies, and TN football. Above all, Debbie cherished moments with her family and her four beloved dachshunds.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her husband of 37 years, Johnny Blackwelder Sr., her daughter Kendra Elliott (Jeremy), and sons Johnny Jr. and Bradley Blackwelder. Grandchildren, Ashton Presley, Brayden Elliott and Hannah Elliott. She is also survived by her cousin Michelle Garland and her best friend of 60 years, Sheila Bradley. Debbie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leonard and Annie Williams, who dedicated their lives to raising her, and uncles Cleo, Jim, and Bill Williams.
The family plans to celebrate her life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, they request donations be made to Friends of the Smokies or your local animal shelter, in her name.
