Dennis Paul Smith, (Denny) 66 years old, passed away on March 19, 2022 after a strong fight against Esophageal Cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Coleman and Verna Mae Smith and brother Randall Smith. Survivors include sister Betty Smith, Knoxville, sister Brenda Anderson, Newport News, Va, brother Wayne Smith, Knoxville. Nieces, Wendy Smith, Jennifer Anderson, Leslie Anderson, Katie Anderson and great niece Adreanna Anderson. Nephews, Matt and Joel Smith, Brother-in-Law Jon Anderson. Denny was an active participant in Special Olympics for Track, Bowling, Softball pitch and Basketball. He has been a resident of Knoxville Sertoma Center for Special Need Adults for 21 years which provided him an active life in the Community. Denny has enjoyed a long and happy childhood. He has been a Member of Woodlawn Christian Church over 50 years. Denny has been blessed by the caring members of Woodlawn Christian Church . A very heartfelt appreciation to all the Sertoma Center Staff and especially to the Sertoma Nurses who cared for him.
