Doris Jean Harrel – age 87 of Knoxville, passed away, Monday, June 13, 2016 at Asbury Place Maryville, where she has resided for 10 years. She was a member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband Milton Floyd Harrel, parents Guss and Fronia Mae Huie and sister Ruby Joy Gilliland. Survivors include her children Fred and Elizabeth Harrel, Sid and Karen Harrel, Greg and Vicky Harrel, grandchildren Andrew (Beth), Jeffrey (Naomi) and Matthew (Julia) Brown, Courtney Harrel Mascaro (Mitchell) and Terry Harrel (LeAnn), 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The Harrel family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Asbury Place Maryville. The family will receive friends at Berry Highland Memorial Friday, June 17, 2016 from 1-2pm with a funeral service at 2pm, Pastor David Collins officiating.
