Edward Dale Gass, age 81, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 17, 2022. He retired from Rohm & Haas. Ed was a member of the Order of DeMolay's, he was a Master Mason at the Burlington Lodge #763 since 1975. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was a Shriner at the Kerbela Temple and was a former member of the Dune Buggy Club. Edward was a past worthy patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Knoxville Chapter #69. He was also a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Ed was a true Christian servant and dear father and friend to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his first wife Trudy Sayne; second wife Mary Gass and son Shawn Gass. Edward is survived by children Missy (Jay) O'Mary, Diane Pyne (Shari Rau) and Kathy (Rodney) Bunch; grandchildren Dalton, Shelby, Chris, Jordan, Abby and Cody; and great-grandchildren Emma, Brandon, Cooper and Kennedy. Ed's family welcomes friends for a Visitation on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Berry Funeral Home from 5pm-7pm with a Funeral Service to follow. Family and friends will meet at East Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 9:45am for a 10am Graveside Service.
