Edward A. “Drew” Thornton, age 65, passed away on January 8, 2017. He retired from Data Management at TVA. Preceded in death by his adored wife, Nancy S. Thornton; brother, Richard Thornton of Birmingham, Alabama; and parents, Bob and Mable Thornton of Rockwood. He leaves behind his brothers, Chuck (Kaye) Thornton of Weaverville, North Carolina and David Thornton of Rockwood; brothers and sister-in-law, Herman, Richard, Wilma, Terry, Michael, and Gerald Hillard of Knoxville; numerous other nieces, nephews, and in-laws. The family will receive friends and remember the life and gift of Drew on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Highway in Knoxville.
