Essie Louise Stanfill

Essie Louise Stanfill, age 90, of Knoxville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord Thursday July 7, 2022. She was a member who served at Sevier Heights Baptist Church for 54 years. Essie was a blessing to all who knew her to the very end and she never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by parents, William and Mattie Lee; husband, Charles Stanfill Sr; son, Chuck Stanfill; sisters, Lenny Messamore, Evelyn Summers, Della Rucker, Maymie Keck and Elsie Taylor; brothers, R. L. Lee, N.C. Lee and W.E. Lee; son-in-law, Charles Rauhuff. Essie is survived by son, Chris (Rhonda) Stanfill; daughter, Cathy Rauhuff; brother, J.W. Lee; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and family also survive. The family will receive friends Thursday July 14, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Berry Funeral Home 3704 Chapman Hwy. Family and friends will meet Friday July 15, 2022 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for a 8:30 a.m. graveside service. Rev. Charlie McNutt officiating.
