

She was a faithful Christian all her life and attended Solway Baptist Church, where she served by playing the piano and organ for many years. She was very dedicated to her church and to her Lord, and was a sweet and gentle soul.
Flossie was also very interested in the genealogy of the Raby family and always tried to go to the Raby reunions when she was able. She also taught piano lessons in her home when she was younger, and many students benefited from her teaching.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Jennie Dunaway Raby; brothers, W.L. Raby and Oliver Raby; sisters, Zelma Raby, Pauline Grubb, Grace Crawford, Mable Moore, Alma Williams, and nephew Virgil Williams.
Flossie is survived by nieces Vivian and husband Tim Duncan, Elizabeth Webber, Joyce Bunch, Marie Turner, and Louise Wyatt and great-nieces Darlene and husband Shawn Austin, and Dorinda Siler; nephews, Robert Williams, Harold Williams, and Larry Williams. She is also survived by special cousins Sarah Dunaway Huckaby, Linda Nauman Fernandes, Jessie Bailey Roberts, Beth Roberts, and Tammy Phillips.
The family is grateful for the staff at NHC and Caris Healthcare for their kindness and caring during this difficult time, and for her good friends, Joanne Bohl and Scott and Linda McCann.
Receiving of friends is on Thursday at 12 p.m. to 1pm with service following at 1 p.m. Bro. Scott McCann officiating.
