

Fred Lee Allen, 96, of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. A man who lived a full and well-loved life. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, later retiring from Roadway Trucking after many dedicated years on the road. In his spare time, Fred had a true love for buying, selling, and trading just about anything.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Connie McElroy; son, Larry Allen; grandson, Jason Dunn.
Fred leaves behind a beautiful legacy in the hearts of his wife of sixty-five years, Charlotte Allen; son, Freddie Allen; daughters, Diane (Donnie) Dunn, Nikki (Greg) Henry; grandchildren, Trish (Daniel) Zopp, Mason Henry, Madison Henry, Sierra Jackson, Cody Allen, Casey (Missy) Allen, Scottie Allen; great-grandchildren, Haven Keys, Maddie Keys, Ava Keys, Damian Jackson, Hayden Jackson, Melia Jackson, Logan Jackson, Brooke Mixon; niece, Sabrina Morrissey-Strickland; nephews, Tommy and Billy Morrissey. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Mark, whose care and companionship meant the world to Fred in his final years.
Friend are invited to pay their final respects during a call at convenience at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920, on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, followed by a graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920, on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:00am, with Pastor Jeff Timbs to officiate the service.
