He was born in Chattanooga on January 27, 1933. Gerald served in the United States Navy from 1952-1956.
Preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Mary Abrams and brothers Eugene Abrams and Murell Abrams.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Sara Abrams; sons Eric Abrams and Kevin Abrams; grandchildren Christopher Abrams, Bethany Abrams, Danielle Abrams, Jessica McIntosh, Caleb Abrams and Joshua Abrams; great-grandchildren Layla Abrams, Emma McIntosh, Madison McIntosh and Bentley Abrams.
The family welcomes friends for a Visitation on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Berry Highland South from 12pm-2pm with a Funeral Service at 2pm and a Graveside Service to follow in the Garden of Valor.
