Hickman, Hazel L., age 95, of Knoxville, passed away on Thursday October 31, 2013 at her home. She was preceded in death by: husband Charlie Hickman, 1st husband Alan Sherrod, and several step-children, brothers and sisters. Survivors include: step-daughters Doris Nelson, Evelyn Spangler, Jean Dills, and Charlotte Wright; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sister Betty Denton; brothers Frank and Joe Denton; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday November 3, 2013 from 2-4 pm at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home, with the funeral service to follow at 4:00, Rev. Bruce Spangler officiating.
