Honor Jean Smith "Bobbie"

Honor Jean Smith “Bobbie” entered peacefully into heaven on May 21, 2023. Bobbie was born in Tupelo Mississippi on January 12, 1935. In 1942, as a young girl, the family moved to Oak Ridge TN to help with the war effort. After graduation from Oak Ridge High School in 1952, she began working for the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC). She Married Thomas LeRoy Smith “Roy” in 1953 and they made their home in Knoxville. They were longtime members of Cumberland Baptist Church. Bobbie is preceded in death by her loving husband Roy, her father and mother Charlie and Lavada Mullins, her brothers LB and Mike Mullins and her sister Ellen Galbraith. She is survived by her son Scott Thomas Smith, daughter-in-law Marianne, grandson Crue and her sister Mary Stinnett along with many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Weaver’s Funeral Home, 5815 Western Ave. Knoxville TN, Wednesday, May 24, 2023, 5:00pm - 7:00pm, with a memorial service to follow at 7:00pm. Interment will be Thursday, May 25, 2023, 11:00am at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Alcoa.
