Ina Ray Metzler

Ina Ray Metzler, beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, went to join our Lord on July 4th, 2025, at the age of 85. Ina Ray was a long-time member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Knoxville. She loved telling stories about the church from when she was young.

Ina Ray was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Swanson; parents, Raymond and Myrtle Jeffers Clark; brother, Doug Clark; sisters, Mary Lee, Margaret Wood, and D. Janet Price.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Raymond Metzler; son and daughter-in-law, James and Amanda Swanson; son, Anthony Swanson; brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Nancy Clark; sister-in-law, Lois Massey; and sister-in-law, Faye Swanson; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday July 19, 2025, from 11 to 1 p.m. at Berry Highland South Funeral Home 9010 Simpson RD, Knoxville, TN 37920. Graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor George Hollander officiating. Condolences may be offered at www.berryhighlandsouth.com
