Mr. Jack Victor Smith

Mr. Jack Victor Smith, born April 14, 1926, passed away on January 8, 2022 after a long illness. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, John and Ida Smith; brother, Lonas Smith; sisters, Helen Perry and Vada Patterson. He is survived by sons, Ray Smith and Stephen Smith, both of Knoxville, TN; daughters, Mercedes St. Clair of Walland, TN, and Laquita Newcomb of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by the love of his life for many years, Grace McCarter and her daughter Rebecca Hensley (Robbie) and daughter in law, Bonnie McCarter (Ray DC); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren from both sides of the families. His is also survived by nieces and nephews who live in Blaine, TN. He was a World War II veteran serving in Germany and France. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, the great outdoors, and playing his lottery scratch off tickets. He was loved by all who knew him. The family would like to thank Caris Health for their caring and kindness, especially Denise, Jennifer, and Abbey. There are no services planned at this time due to the family dealing with Covid, but a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
