James H. Cunningham, Sr. age 90, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord March 31, 2016. He worked construction many years for Gilbert Plastering which later became Odom Construction, where he eventually retired. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He is preceded by daughter, Debbie Gibbs; brothers, Fred Edward, William David, and Walter Franklin; sister, Geneva Katherine; grandson, Richard Greene. Survived by wife of 64 years, Lucy Cunningham; daughters, Brenda Greene, Nancy (Edwin) Riggsbee, and Angela (Josh) Looney; son, Jimmy Cunningham; special daughter-in-law, Tammy Gray; brothers, Ernest (Marie) Arlie and Johnny Ray Cunningham; sisters, Linda Sue (Tom) Jordan, Virginia Louise Waller, and Imagene Vaughn; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Berry Highland West on Sherrill Blvd with a graveside service to follow.
