James Edgar Hammack Jr.

James Edgar Hammack Jr., age 71, of Knoxville, Tennessee went home, peacefully, to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Jim was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church. He loved the Lord and shared Him with everyone he met. Jim was humble and kind and loved unconditionally. In his youth, he played baseball and was an all star pitcher for his team. He was a boy scout and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Jim was an avid Tennessee football fan.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, James and Stella Hammack; brother, Jerry Burris; sisters, Kandy Dotson and Brenda Fay Hammack. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Nancy Hammack; daughters, Missey Hurd (Lincoln), Trish Wilson (Travis) and Meghan Hammack; grandchildren, Joseph Wilder, Michael Wilson, Samara and Erian Hurd; sister, Gail Hammack and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Jim's Life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 with a visitation from 2-4pm, funeral service to follow at Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Rev. Sean White officiating.
