Jim Hayes, age 69 of Knoxville, passed away on August 16, 2017 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Margaret Hayes and his maternal grandmother. Mr. Hayes was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed collecting dragons, the Green Bay Packers and U.T. Football. Mr. Hayes worked as a manager at KenJo Markets. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Shirley Hayes; children: James Hayes (Holly), Sandie Rogers, Paula Underwood and Elizabeth Jones (Todd);Seven grandchildren: Jaimie, Nikki, Jessica, Connor, Jacob, Christopher and Grayson; two great grandchildren: Charlie and Lily, along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 2-3 pm in the chapel of McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 pm.
