James Buford Houser

James Buford "JB" Houser, age 89, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. He retired after 33 years of service at Rohm & Haas. In his later years he enjoyed ballroom dancing and taking care of his yard. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Effie Mae Houser; mother and father, Buell Houser and Rosa Long; sisters: Lucille, Mattie, Blanche, and Mary Helen; and grandson, James Ryan. James leaves behind his son, Rick Houser (Judy); daughter, Robbie Hodsden; son, Randy Houser (Pam); 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; as well as several close cousins. Family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 PM Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, with a funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM, Steve Beeler officiating. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery at 1:45 PM for a 2:00 PM interment Sunday, March 19, 2023.
